Australasian Radiation Protection Society, Victorian Branch, Student Travel Award 2025
Applications are invited from students of a Victorian or Tasmanian tertiary institution or from recent graduates (three years) who reside in Victoria or Tasmania for an ARPS (Victorian Branch) Student Travel Award. The award of $1250 will be available to assist the successful applicant with registration, accommodation and travel costs of attending the ARPS Annual Conference to be held in Melbourne, Victoria from 19-22 October 2025. The successful applicant will make an oral presentation based on their abstract. The registration fee for students at the conference in 2025 is $750 early bird or $780 from 20 September.
To be eligible, applicants must:
- be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate science, medical radiation or related course at a Victorian or Tasmanian tertiary institution; or
- have recently graduated (within three years) with a degree in science, medical radiation or related course, and currently reside in Victoria or Tasmania.
In order to apply, interested applicants need to submit an abstract by 18 July 2025 to:
- the ARPS conference, in accordance with the requirements listed on the website www.arpsconference.com.au/call-for-abstracts, and
- Dr Peter Harty at Peter.Harty@arpansa.gov.au. Please note, the abstract sent to Dr Harty also needs to be accompanied by a description of the applicant’s interests in the field of radiation protection/health physics.
Applications will be judged by the ARPS Victorian Branch Committee, with the successful applicant to be notified by 22 August 2025.
