Jade is from the Bunda Clan of the Gooreng Gooreng Nation and grew up on her Grandmother’s Country – Bundaberg, QLD. Jade has lived in Darwin (Larrakia Country) with her husband and two children for the last ten years.
Jade is the General Manager of Business Development at Tellus Holdings. With a focus on environmental solutions, Tellus Holdings created and operationalised Sandy Ridge, Australia’s first commercial geological repository where natural barriers from the outback’s unique geology and structural protections, create a multi-barrier system that gives best-in-class containment and disposal for hazardous materials. It’s the concept of healing (remediating) and caring for Country that drew Jade to Tellus.
Prior to joining Tellus, Jade had a 20-year career in the public sector, with the last few years of that spent across Arnhem Land.
Land and sea management is another area of passion for Jade and as a member of the North Australia Marine Parks Advisory Committee, Jade provides advice on matters including tourism, fishing, sea country, marine transport, science, conservation, communications and engagement.
Jade is a spokesperson for the Yes23 Voice to Parliament Campaign.
