Cameron Jeffries works as a Principal Medical Physicist with South Australia Medical Imaging at Flinders Medical Centre. Cameron received a Master’s degree in Physics from Queensland University of Technology for his research on airborne radioactivity in a mineral sand dry processing operation. His career started in radiation protection at Olympic Dam uranium mine, South Australia. Cameron held regulatory roles with the NSW and SA Environment Protection Authorities. Cameron started work in medical radiation protection at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney in 2010 and moved to Flinders Medical Centre in 2018. Cameron is a member of the IRPA Executive Council, Chair of the Australasian Radiation Protection Accreditation Board, member of the NSW Radiation Advisory Council and the Editorial board of the Journal for Radiation Protection and Research. He is a member of ICRP Taskgroup 126.
