Through this latter work, she became aware of the underlying health risks associated with new technologies being rolled out untested across university campuses. Dr. McCredden now investigates the effects of electromagnetic fields (EMFs) on humans, particularly cognitive and emotional processes. She is currently president of the Oceania Radiofrequency Advisory Association (ORSAA). This not-for-profit organisation collates and disseminates the science of EMFs focused on human planetary health area via an online database. Dr. McCredden has co-authored several papers in this area, together with other members of ORSAA. She also has a Master of Counselling and works with people affected by electromagnetic fields and other environmental toxins. This gives her the unique opportunity to compare observations from the field against current theoretical frameworks regarding avenues of interaction between EMFs and human systems. This unfolding understanding is what she aims to communicate to both researchers and health practitioners, to advance scientific knowledge, and to assist those suffering from adverse effects.

Sponsored guest speakerDr Julie McCredden President ORSAA Dr Julie McCredden is a cognitive science researcher, educational designer and counsellor.
